There's a trick to get a lot of coins but you need fishing rods and fishing skill book then send your dwarf with fish skill to fish and he'll get boots then Go to the crafting menu and place the boot in the crafting slot to dismantle it; you'll get 5 coins. Your dwarf can catch 4 boots before returning to base to store them, so spend the coins to buy more fishing books and use them on other dwarves—that way, you'll get even more boots. Dwarves with the fishing skill will catch only boots, not fish.
